We are seeking an amazing full-time vice president to join our rapidly growing team and work with several exciting clients. About the Role:

This position requires a passion for working in an innovative industry that is committed to developing new medicines or solutions that can help or perhaps cure people battling health conditions and devastating diseases. The best candidate has a knack for growing relationships with clients and key audiences in the biotech industry. They will participate in strategy and planning sessions with senior management, shape the stories shared with priority audiences, and identify the channels to distribute the stories through the multitude of press, social media or digital resources available to them. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate communications, including development of investor presentations and quarterly financial reporting presentations and scripts. Vice presidents serve as mentors and leaders to team members, and help build high-powered, results-oriented account teams. Vice presidents are exposed to the many facets of the biotech and life science ecosystem and have the opportunity to flex their creative problem-solving skills in the strategic communications process. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a day to day client contact for several biotech and life sciences companies, working with account teams to plan and implement the full range of client responsibilities

  • Support ongoing client communication efforts with client stakeholders including patient advocacy groups, clinicians, investors and employees/recruits

  • Create, execute and delegate tactical implementation of all activities related to corporate communications, media relations, investor relations, thought leadership, patient advocacy, content development and digital/visual campaigns

  • Translate strong corporate narratives and complex science into compelling presentations for investor meetings, quarterly earnings reporting and R&D / analyst days

  • Oversee media strategy for client announcements through the development of press releases, Q&A documents, media targets, pitches and other supporting assets

  • Lead ongoing social media strategy and the management of client social channels on a daily basis  

  • Work with internal creative team to develop wide range of visual client materials – including, but not limited to website creation and development, corporate presentation decks, social media graphics and videos 

  • Champion junior staff on multiple tasks and help in their ongoing growth and development

Requirements:

  • Have a science background (B.S., M.S. or Ph.D.) and 10+ years’ experience in the biotech industry or in a communications-related position

  • Have a strong grasp and ability to produce and review all necessary content: corporate presentations, press releases, blogs, video storyboards, social media calendars, visuals, website copy, etc.

  • Revel in anticipating clients’ needs and creatively solve problems

  • Be a self-starter, with initiative and an eagerness to learn, think critically and creatively, and stretch their skills

  • Be a voracious consumer of news in order to track industry trends relevant to clients and life sciences industry

  • Be comfortable communicating with diverse groups of people, including executives, entrepreneurs, investors and journalists
