About the Role:

This position is primarily responsible for providing high quality medical writing / medical communications deliverables with minimal direction. Additionally, this position will function as the primary medical expert across 1 to 2 business units to ensure internal teams have accurate and up-to-date medical information throughout the lifecycle of the work. (Remote)



  • Provide medical expertise and/or content to strategy, behavior, and creative teams with minimal direction

  • Function as primary medical content strategist and clinical resource in 1 to 2 business units

  • Attend medical conferences and advisory boards and conduct competitive intelligence on an as-needed basis and provide comprehensive summaries

  • Collaborate with senior team members to ensure medical content and messaging are aligned and complimentary with behavioral strategies and tactics and client/market needs and strategies

  • Support senior scientific strategy team members with mentoring of more junior team members and development of internal processes

  • Support senior scientific strategy team as needed for new business and other needs



  • Have a PhD, PharmD, or MD (PhD in medical related field preferred)

  • ≥2 years of medical communications experience (agency or other creative environment preferred)

  • Be experienced in developing scientific content (eg, publications for peer-reviewed journals, slides, ad boards, disease state education)

  • Be experienced in reading and interpreting prescribing information and clinical studies

  • Have experience in ≥2 therapeutic areas and the ability to learn about new therapeutic areas quickly

  • Be able to handle multiple timelines and work independently with minimal additional training

  • Have excellent communication and medical research skills

  • Be experienced in effectively educating nonmedical personnel about complex medical conditions

  • Be highly self-motivated and an ability to be self-directed

  • Have attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work of high quality

  • Be willing to travel (~10%)
