About the Role: 

The Associate Director of Behavioral Services is focused primarily on growing/mentoring internal talent to optimize the application of behavioral science in a marketing environment. This individual needs to not only understand key behavioral science concepts, but also understand how to translate these concepts into an overarching solution strategy that aligns to life science customer needs and capabilities. The Associate Director of Behavioral Services will also be responsible for multi-disciplinary collaboration within internal client teams.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage members of the behavioral services team
  • Apply behavioral insights and key learnings in a strategic way
  • Planning and staffing, including monitoring utilization and making staffing recommendations
  • Champion a solution-oriented mindset within the department and agency to facilitate growth and evolution, seeking opportunities for the development of marketing solutions that are grounded in behavioral science
  • Identify business opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to create plans for implementation
  • Apply past relevant experiences to new challenges
  • Understand marketing concepts and how to apply them in the pharmaceutical context
  • Participate in new business pitch meetings

Requirements: 

  • Have an advanced degree (master’s level or higher) in public health, health communications, psychology, or social sciences  
  • 5+ years experience applying behavioral concepts in a pharmaceutical marketing environment   
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to be self-directed
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and management experience
  • Strong verbal, research and writing skills
  • Experience in planning and implementing health communications programs utilizing behavioral theory/concepts
  • Excellent organizational skills
