So, what’s the job?
As an Account Director you will lead and direct a portion of the business, developing and implementing innovative programmes on cutting edge medicines. You will be the strategic contact for your client in the implementation of a range of campaigns from project proposal to completion from advertorials, media materials, reactive statements and Q&As (to name a few). You will also manage client teams and the development of plans for client work, helping to communicate priorities and decisions to key senior staff. As an Account Director, your ability to run and participate in creative sessions is key in helping to maintain our high-quality work and to develop relationships within your team.
Commercial and financial management is also a key area of responsibility for an Account Director; you will be responsible for the financial performance of your areas of business, delivering operational efficiency and forward business planning. You will also be involved in business development helping to lead on the development of pitch documents and participate in new business pitches.
Who is the ideal candidate?
Our team is passionate about our work, and we value enthusiasm, integrity and creativity. You will have previous experience in project and account management for large clients within healthcare PR. However similar account and client management experience from medical communications or ad agencies would be considered coupled with an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
You will have a passion for writing/telling a great story and enjoy coming up with creative ways to engage a wide variety of audiences in your client’s stories.
Collaboration is key, as is the ability to think strategically around the direction and scope of multiple projects at various stages. You must be confident with creating budgets, use sound judgement to make critical decisions and be keen to get involved in line management. Energy and enthusiasm is a must!
