As an SVP, Client Partner at Evoke, you will join as an established leader of our Account Management department with the opportunity to employ your expertise of multiple therapeutic categories, a wide array of successful client service engagements, and unrivaled industry expertise while mentoring and growing mid and junior level team members. Your job will be to be accountable for agency service that exceeds the expectations of multiple clients through the ongoing, flawless execution and delivery of your clients’ suite of high-value strategic services with the multidisciplinary team. Our job is to support your ability to manage teams that deliver all projects and the holistic Evoke offering/experience in a clean and swift manner, to best manage and grow existing and new meaningful client relationships, to manage agency partnerships at the senior level with grace and leverage those partnerships, and ensure you have the tools needed to deliver best-in-class client service each and every day. An SVP, Client Partner is the leader for multiple teams; a partner to our clients, their bosses, and their extended team. An SVP, Client Partner mentors and aids mid-level and junior account management team members and acts as a team leader in building strong, mutually trusting relationships with our clients by ensuring excellence in delivery, clear communication, and sound strategic guidance.

SVP, Client Partner

Execution:

  • Ensures each team is consistently delivering best-in-class deliverables and distinguishable client service
  • Ensures that there is never a gap in service for any client, even if it means rolling your sleeves up
  • Is accountable for multiple teams’ impeccable delivery of many large-sized, high-value client projects
  • Is informed of all major project engagements across clients and offers regular input to both clients and team

Relationship Management:

  • Is seen as a leader to clients, to the team, and to all industry partners
  • Commands attention without asking for it
  • Is responsible for multiple significant pieces of business
  • Is onsite with clients on a weekly basis, fostering a stronger relationship with day-to-day clients as well as directors, procurement, HCP and/or consumer brand leads, etc.
  • Has the ability to convey complex ideas/solutions to clients in a simplistic manner
  • Is always looking for ways to better serve the client, to grow their business, and grow Evoke’s business
  • Is always looking for a new relationship and can effectively speak to Evoke’s core offerings in a manner that piques interest and instills trust
  • Is seen as an indispensible asset to the client and to the agency/team, a trusted leader
  • Is not afraid of having the ‘tough’ conversations, but instead handles them with grace and dignity
  • Grows senior-level client relationships, identifies organic and greenfield franchise-level growth opportunities
  • Maintains previous relationships and leverages those for new opportunities
  • Expands the client relationship beyond the product manager and beyond marketing
  • Excellent negotiator

Strategy:

  • Leads new business opportunities and plays a leadership role in pitches
  • Attends and adds value to new client on-boardings
  • With the strategy and creative teams, leads brand planning process and all brainstorming sessions
  • Plans for brands in the long term as well as the short term
  • Holds all team members responsible for following process to achieve proper client service
  • Is knowledgeable of the agency competitive set and can position Evoke as a differentiated leader
  • Is an expert in all aspects of our clients’ business, being able to speak to the category, across channels, and across targets
  • Reviews and approves all project briefs and with the strategy and creative teams, owns the development of creative/strategic briefs and associated processes
  • Provides an ongoing strategic audit of all owned projects and associated components, ensuring all content is on strategy and working towards brand goals
  • Is willing to adjust in-progress planned program/SOW to better meet client needs, constantly challenges
  • Works directly with the strategy and analytics teams to assess program performance and to identify new and/or optimization opportunities
  • Oversees the development of strategic documents and recommendations with the creative and strategy teams
  • With the strategy group, identifies, develops, and presents client-specific POVs

Financial Management:

  • Accountable for the clients’ total budget by having proactive, ongoing conversations with the project management team and ADs
  • Proactively and immediately flags any scope/budget concerns to client before hours are incurred
  • With project management, is accountable for and presents ongoing financial reconciliations
  • Works with project management to establish forecasts and ensures that financial goals are met/exceeded
  • Consistently works to exceed quarterly and yearly financial goals
  • With project management, is responsible for the proper development and presentation of SOWs

Management and Mentorship:

  • Manages 2-6 mid-level account team members, while mentoring the full account team
  • Interviews all account and all client-facing team members
  • Provides effective, efficient, and profitable staffing plans
  • Is capable of deploying the right resources at the right time, while remaining profitable
  • Identifies resource gaps/weaknesses, and immediately adjusts
  • Provides scheduled and ongoing feedback (both positive and constructive) to managed account team members, ensuring their growth and positive improvement, coaches account team members to instill confidence and growth
  • Mentors and supports junior account management team members
  • Learns under the mentorship of the executive team

Qualifications Include (but are not limited to):

  • 15 years experience in account management (general advertising or interactive advertising
  • At least 10 years agency experience required
  • At least 10 years healthcare experience required
  • At least 5 years in a senior management role required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams to successfully deliver multiple high-value, fast-moving projects
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, grow, and extend a meaningful client relationship
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and act upon organic and greenfield growth opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage/mentor id-level and junior account team members
  • Willingness to learn, recognizing there’s always more to learn
  • Multichannel marketing experience
  • Professional and consumer marketing experience
  • A clear understanding of the multidisciplinary team and when to engage resources
  • Impeccable attention to detail and self-accountability
  • Superb organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Masterful communicator with a combination of listening, speaking, and business writing skills, knows when to pick up the phone, when to be at the client, when to email
  • Envied presenter to small or large groups, both internally and externally
  • Experience and history of success in pitching and closing new business
  • Ability to follow-through and complete assignments in a timely manner with no room for error
  • Analytical skills to identify and understand implications from relevant marketing data and budgets and transform learnings into new opportunities and/or optimizations
  • Working well independently and as a team member across departments to manage the flow of projects through the agency/team
  • A bachelor’s degree (advertising, marketing, or science major preferred)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations.
